On the recovery of Lebanese deposits and confronting the banking–political plunder system. Escalation is our choice

On the recovery of Lebanese deposits and confronting the banking–political plunder system ESCALATION IS OUR DECISION

The leadership of the Lebanese National Alliance affirms that the issue of depositors can no longer tolerate equivocation, cosmetic settlements, or time-buying in favor of banks. What has occurred—and continues to occur—is an organized crime of plunder committed by Lebanese banks in full collusion and solidarity with the political authority, under blatant judicial cover.

The freezing of Lebanese citizens’ funds, discrimination among depositors based on political influence, and the legalization of theft through laws tailor-made for banks constitute a direct violation of the most basic principles of justice, rights, and private property. This places Lebanon among states operating outside the international financial and legal order.

First: From Diagnosis to Confrontation

The Lebanese National Alliance declares clearly that it has moved from the stage of diagnosis and statements to the stage of organized confrontation, through two parallel and irreversible tracks:

  • A confrontational legal track, domestically and internationally, aimed at breaking the system of impunity.
  • A track of direct pressure on Lebanese banks operating outside Lebanon, where they conduct business, generate profits, and shield themselves behind international laws they claim to respect.

The Alliance affirms that banks refusing to return depositors’ funds inside Lebanon will not be allowed to operate quietly abroad, and that targeting their operations and customer bases in France, Monaco, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States is a legitimate, lawful, and escalating option.

Second: Exposing Legal and Banking Falsehoods

The Alliance rejects the false narrative claiming that the recovery of deposits is “impossible” or “unrealistic.”
The reality is that:

  • Banks have spent millions of dollars on law firms to protect themselves, not depositors.
  • The Lebanese judiciary has been subjected to systematic political and banking pressure.
  • Any international legal path is deliberately hollowed out through prohibitive financial costs designed to exclude depositors.

Accordingly, the Alliance is working to open non-traditional legal avenues, foremost among them the personal prosecution of bank boards of directors, lifting protection from individuals—not only from institutions.

Third: An International Media Battle with No Red Lines

The Lebanese National Alliance announces that the coming phase will witness an organized escalation of international media pressure to expose:

  • The organic relationship between banks and politicians,
  • The involvement of influential figures in shielding banks,
  • The use of violence, intimidation, and judicial manipulation to silence depositors.

The fact that a large proportion of bank owners and major investors are politicians or their partners will no longer remain concealed, and these realities will be conveyed to public opinion in the countries where these banks operate.

Fourth: Rejecting Collusion and the Purchase of Silence

The Lebanese National Alliance strongly condemns certain associations that accepted political protection or banking funding in exchange for softening their positions or stripping their actions of substance.

It affirms that any entity that accepts money or cover from banks places itself outside the battle of depositors and outside any clean national coordination framework.

Fifth: Confronting Violence and Intimidation

The documented assaults on depositors and activists, attempts at intimidation, and the use of security and judicial bodies in favor of banks are further evidence of the nature of the system we are confronting.

The Alliance affirms that these practices will not silence depositors, but will instead be transformed into political and legal evidence domestically and internationally, and that everyone who participated, covered up, or remained silent will be held accountable.

Sixth: Practical Escalatory Steps

The Lebanese National Alliance announces the following measures:

  • The establishment of a permanent crisis room to manage the battle around the clock,
  • The unification of databases and information among depositors and independent forces,
  • The launch of phased international media and legal pressure campaigns,
  • The expansion of coordination with Lebanese diaspora organizations,
  • Preparation to address international decision-making centers, including the U.S. Congress, with a documented file on dollar-denominated deposits.

The Lebanese National Alliance affirms that the era of managing collapse has ended, and that the era of accountability has begun.
The depositors’ cause is a matter of national dignity, financial sovereignty, and social justice, and it will not be resolved through promises or partial settlements.

We are in an open confrontation with the system of plunder, and we will pursue it to its legal, political, and media conclusions until full rights are restored and those responsible are held accountable, regardless of how high their positions may be.
